Despite the difficulties of last year, the Class of 2020 managed to produce a fine set of results for our School, with a 98.3% pass rate, a 75% Bachelor Pass rate, 1st ranked Boys school in the Ethusini (City) District and 166 distinctions.Special congratulations to our top achiever, Thiyashan Pillay (a member of our Nonpareil Academy) who achieved seven distinctions and an of aggregate of 91.4%. Thiyashan was our Dux Proxime Accessit (second) at our Senior Prive-Giving in October last year.
He was closely followed by Talon Sewnath who also received seven distinctions, with an aggregate of 91%. Talen was the Dux at Senior Prize-Giving Speech.
Sachen Pather and Muhammad Ghuman both also achieved seven distinctions, with respective averages of 88% and 87%.
Well done to Adam Mohamed for an outstanding set of results in our Cambridge programme. His results can be found in the article above. Adam was the Cambridge Dux at the 2020 Speech Day.
Mention must also be made of Mas’ood Bassa (88%) and Sinakhokonke Dhlomo (79%) who each achieved 6 distinctions.
Our 2020 Head Prefect, Quincy Hitler, received four distinctions, including one for Music. Quincy formed part of the first group of boys to complete Music as a matric subject through our affiliation with Trinity Music College London.
We congratulate the Class of 2020 on their results and look forward to their future achievements as they proceed to their tertiary education.
