Victorious U15A Cricket Tram!

The Cricket season for the 1st Term came to a close last weekend, with School producing another great set of results, particularly at A Team level. Whilst a number of games were rained out, there were terrific wins for our U14A, U15A and 1st XI against St Charles!

Well done to you all! The introduction of Mr Shezi as the 1st XI Cricket Coach has paid great dividends to the 1st XI side. After a disappointing start to the year, Mr Shezi took over the reins and has since achieved great victories against Glenwood, Kearsney, Northwood and now St Charles.

Monumental achievement for our U15A Cricket side! Our U15A Cricket side managed to win their 11th CONSECUTIVE match of the season! What a way to finish the 1st Term with an 8 wicket win over St Charles, after bowling them out for 56! This final win of the season ensures that our U15A Cricket Team has achieved an unbeaten 1st Term which stems back to the January holidays! In particular, congratulations to Bayanda Majola who took 6 wickets for 17 runs!

Well done on this brilliant run of results Gentlemen, you will remember this for the rest of your lives! The entire School community are extremely proud of you!

We would also like to mention our U14A Cricket side who, after losing their first three games all in the last over of play, have now finished the season with three consecutive victories over Hilton, Maritzburg College and St Charles. Well done on your determination to turn the results around boys!

Rugby

Saturday night saw the launch of our pre-season Rugby fixtures against St Charles at the Voortrekker Rugby Festival. Our U16A, 2nd XV and 1st XV all played. The teams all put in very promising performances, with the 1st XV winning 36-12, the 2nd XV winning by five tries and the U16A winning 57-7. Well done on a fantastic start, Boys!
